At FHP (Frances-Higgins Projects), we are working closely with a client to specialise in delivering safe, reliable, and innovative power infrastructure solutions. As part of their continued growth, there seeking a highly capable Project Manager with expertise in high voltage substation projects (11kV–132kV+) and ideally experience working with Western Power Distribution (WPD).
🔧 Your Role
As a Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on the delivery of high-voltage substation projects across the Midlands. You will oversee planning, stakeholder engagement, construction oversight, and commissioning – ensuring every project meets the highest standards in safety, quality, and compliance.
💡 What You’ll Be Doing
Manage end-to-end project delivery – from design to energisation
Work closely with key clients including WPD/NGED to ensure adherence to DNO specifications
Coordinate internal teams and external contractors
Oversee budgets, project programmes, and reporting
Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld
Conduct risk assessments and ensure CDM compliance
🧠 What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in HV substation project management (11kV–132kV)
Strong working knowledge of DNO standards – experience with WPD is a strong advantage
Electrical engineering background (HNC/HND or Degree level preferred)
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of health & safety, CDM regulations, and grid compliance
SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, or similar certifications are advantageous
