At FHP (Frances-Higgins Projects), we are working closely with a client to specialise in delivering safe, reliable, and innovative power infrastructure solutions. As part of their continued growth, there seeking a highly capable Project Manager with expertise in high voltage substation projects (11kV–132kV+) and ideally experience working with Western Power Distribution (WPD).


🔧 Your Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on the delivery of high-voltage substation projects across the Midlands. You will oversee planning, stakeholder engagement, construction oversight, and commissioning – ensuring every project meets the highest standards in safety, quality, and compliance.


💡 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery – from design to energisation

  • Work closely with key clients including WPD/NGED to ensure adherence to DNO specifications

  • Coordinate internal teams and external contractors

  • Oversee budgets, project programmes, and reporting

  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure CDM compliance


🧠 What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in HV substation project management (11kV–132kV)

  • Strong working knowledge of DNO standards – experience with WPD is a strong advantage

  • Electrical engineering background (HNC/HND or Degree level preferred)

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of health & safety, CDM regulations, and grid compliance

  • SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, or similar certifications are advantageous
